Has anyone ever heard of the epic poem trio, the Divine Comedy? The medieval Italian poem? It's better known as Dante's Inferno.

Tonight, I discovered that, if this poem is correct, Purgatory, the gateway to Heaven & cleansing area before reaching Heaven, is located on Earth, in Port Vila, Vanuatu.

According to the poem, Dante looks onto the sunrise in Purgatory, and states that at the same time, it is midnight on the Ganges River, in India, and sunset in Jerusalem, Israel. After doing some adding up, subtracting & general confusion-solving, these times align with the sunrise at Port Vila, Vanuatu.

Just thought I'd tell y'all about my trivial pursuit of the week, maybe the next 2.

Also, according to the same poem, the world will end in 2600, AD.

Just felt an update was relevant, since a lot of you guys haven't heard from me for say... 3 weeks?

ART. Uhhhm, I HAVE drawn a lot lately. Like, I've almost filled a whole sketchbook, but I haven't got a way to put the damn drawings on the computer. D:

SCHOOL. I WANT OUT.

LIFE IN GENERAL. S'ok. 'cept I'm going back to goddamn school in 3 days. And it'll be hard for me to get there, too. I have to take 2 buses to school in the morning, and thanks to New South Wales' giant bus/ferry/train timetable & route overhaul, my timetable's gone outta whack. If I follow my normal bus (which comes surprisingly at about the same time it always has) and get to the station on time (7:41 am AUGH), I'll have 4 minutes until my next bus (7:45) leaves. I can't trust that. And I sure as Hell don't wanna catch the earlier set (6:35 am). Fuck that.

ANYWAY. Just felt like I needed to tell y'all what's been goin' on in my life. That is all.

I'm seeing them tomorrow night.

I cannot wait. At all. Srsly. I'll tell y'all how it was on Monday.


PART 2:

Sorry I didn't update this, but I was busy all this week what with school draining my life away.

But anyway. SUNDAY NIGHT WAS FUCKING EXCELLENT. I was RIGHT up the front, standing at the barricade. The band was 2 feet in fronna me. I bought a tour shirt there (35 bucks, not too shabby) and I caught a pick from Monster Magnet's guitarist.

Even the support bands, Grand Fatal & Regular John, were awesome.

It took a good 3 or 4 days for the ringing in my ears to fully fade out.
